Hello and welcome; we're Mary & Tim Vidra! We're passionate about home, family and simple pleasures like slow food, gardening and do-it-yourself projects. 

17Apart is a nod to our age difference — we've been married just under a decade, together for nearly two and welcome all of the extra love that comes with cultivating a blended family. Both Richmond natives, I work in Merchandising for Etsy, Inc and Tim is in real estate investment. We split time between our historic townhome and rural river cottage in the Northern Neck which we had fun renovating together during the pandemic and now enjoy teaching our girls about crabs, tides and all the secrets the country has to offer.

This site has been a creative collaboration and archive for many of these adventures and we hope you'll find some inspiration here too.
